Child Health

CarePlus Child Health is a web-based product that provides a full tool-kit of facilities to control the Child Health program within a single trust, over a number of Trusts or SHA.

McKesson has taken the best functionality from our current stable of Child Health Systems, and integrated into the final product. This means that CarePlus Child Health is our guaranteed ‘best of breed’ system and is the recommended upgrade path for all McKesson Child Health products.

CarePlus Child Health is a modular system with each component supporting a different aspect of the Child Health service. Core to the system is the registration module, which controls the entry of children into the system. Also key is the Vaccination and Immunisation module, which ensures that children are invited for their correct immunisations at their chosen health clinic or GP surgery.

Included in CarePlus Child Health are modules to track children through their pre-school and school health years. Additionally there are modules to support the needs of special groups including Child Protection, Special Needs, Sure Start, Looked After Children etc.

The System Manager has control of passwords and menus so that only the functions and data that they want people to see are made available. The System Manager can also configure certain screens and control the reference files so the system meets the specific needs of the Trust.

The system has a full audit facility including view audit to allow managers to monitor activity and to identify any training issues.

All modules integrate seamlessly with each other, with data flowing freely between, to create a flexible, upgradeable system
