Security

All aspects of McKesson UK's operations have been awarded a certificate of conformity to ISO/IEC 27001:2005 for Information Security Management.

Security backups are carried out on a daily basis and are stored offsite in a secure environment with rapid access as and when required.

All sites are protected by security cameras and electronic door entry systems, together with a range of electronic alarm systems, which cover both intruder and fire detection. All systems are connected to Un-interruptible Power Services further supported by Standby generators.

Printing
McKesson’s print production facility produces in excess of 1 million payslips every month - without fail - for the Electronic Staff Record service.

McKesson operate one of the busiest transactional print facilities in the UK  with multiple continuous print lines that are capable of producing 162,000 A4 images per hour, laser cut sheet printers and Impact printing that is suitable for multiple-part stationery that has the capacity to generate 480,000 lines per hour.  We also have high speed pressure sealers that enable us to seal 88,000 payslips per hour.  In addition we operate a close loop technology that means we are able to track and account for every single output within a data file we receive and that we can account for every file leaving the premises. 

Our efficient dedicated despatch area enables us to package the goods and track via the national courier networks for a 10am next day delivery anywhere in the UK, and we proactively monitor and follow-up on exceptions and keep the customer advised of any problems with traffic that could cause a delay.

BACS (Bankers Automated Clearing Service)
McKesson manages the payment of Salaries/Creditors on behalf of Customers via BACS. McKesson successfully delivers in excess of £5bn transactions annually.
